Chocolate Cake Squares

These chocolate squares are easy to make and an absolute hit at any party! 

Ingredients

3 large eggs. 175g self-raising flour. 175g caster sugar. 175g softened butter. 1½ level tsp baking powder. 40g cocoa powder. 4 tbsp boiling water.

1 tsp vanilla essence 

Method

1. Cream sugar and butter till light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and a teaspoon of vanilla essence 

1. Sift the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

2. Mix together and add boiling water.

3. Stir till batter is smooth.

4. Bake at 180' degrees.

5. Cut into squares are decorate as desired.
